"We may wonder at the choice of Israel and Rome as the archetypes of the new nation, in view of the long history of suffering of the former and the decline of the latter. We may wonder that our ancestors over-looked the darker days of those earlier nations. They did not. They hoped to construct a republic on principles so sound that it might avoid their fate. But they were certain that if we should decline in piety and public virtue we would meet the inexorable fate of nations, which are as but dust in the hands of God.”

— Robert N Bellah (1927-  ) American sociologist, professor and author (The Broken Covenant)

“Our nation will prosper or decline in direct proportion to our selection of leaders who are guided by the Holy Spirit. If we fail to select Godly leaders our destiny will surely be as that of the Roman Empire.”

— Ronald Reagan (1911-2004) 40th President of the United States

“If the God of life does not respond to this culture of death with judgment, God is not God. If God does not honor the blood of the hundreds of millions of innocent victims then the God of the Bible, the God of Israel, the God of orphans and widows, the Defender of the defenseless, is a man-made myth, a fairy tale.”

— Peter Kreeft - (1937 -  ) Professor of Philosophy and Author

"For we know when a nation goes down and never comes back, when society or civilization perishes, one condition may always be found. They forgot where they came from. They lost sight of what brought them along."

— Carl Sandburg (1878–1967) Writer, Editor, and Poet.

“This nation was founded by men and women who wanted nothing more than the freedom to practice their faith without government oppression. If we don’t stand up for the religious rights of people here and around the world, who will?

— Frank R. Wolf (1939-) Congressman from Virginia

“Lincoln recognized that we could not survive as a free land when some men could decide that others were not fit to be free and should be slaves. … Likewise, we cannot survive as a free nation when some men decide that others are not fit to live and should be abandoned to abortion.”

— Ronald Reagan (1911-2004) 40th President of the United States

"The fool says in his heart, ‘There is no God.’ They are corrupt, they do abominable deeds, there is none that does good.”

— Psalms 14:1 RSV

“Yet they did not listen to me, or incline their ear, but stiffened their neck. They did worse than their fathers. "So you shall speak all these words to them, but they will not listen to you. You shall call to them, but they will not answer you. And you shall say to them, 'This is the nation that did not obey the voice of the LORD their God, and did not accept discipline; truth has perished; it is cut off from their lips.”

— Jeremiah 7:26-28 RSV

“There are instances of, I would say, an almost astonishing Providence in our favor; our success has staggered our enemies, and almost given faith to infidels ; so that we may truly say it is not our own arm which has saved us. The hand of heaven appears to have led us on to be, perhaps, humble instruments and means in the great providential dispensation which is completing. We have fled from the political Sodom; let us not look back, lest we perish and become a monument of infamy and derision to the world!”

— Samuel Adams (1722–1803) Father of the American Revolution, Patriot and Statesman

"The framers [of the Constitution] knew that free speech is the friend of change and revolution. But they also knew that it is always the deadliest enemy of tyranny."

— Hugo Black (1886-1971) US Supreme Court Justice

“Every generation is composed of barbarians that have to be civilized by their families, by families, by churches, by schools, and so forth. [The Baby Boomer] generation was so big that they swamped the instructional capacity to civilize them.”

— Robert Bork (1927–2012) Professor, Solicitor General, Acting Attorney General, and a judge of the United States Court of Appeals

“The frustrating thing is that those who are attacking religion claim they are doing it in the name of tolerance and freedom and open-mindedness. Question: Isn't the real truth that they are intolerant of religion?"

— Ronald Reagan (1911-2004) 40th President of the United States

"In war, when a commander becomes so bereft of reason and perspective that he fails to understand the dependence of arms on Divine guidance, he no longer deserves victory."

— Douglas MacArthur (1880-1964) Army General, involved in war in the Philippines, World War I, II & Korean War

“In times of imminent danger to the country, every true patriot should occupy the post in which he can render them the most effectually.”

— George Washington (1732-1799) Father of the Country, 1st President of the United States

"How prone all human institutions have been to decay; how subject the best-formed and most wisely organized governments have been to lose their check and totally dissolve; how difficult it has been for mankind, in all ages and countries, to preserve their dearest rights and best privileges, impelled as it were by an irresistible fate of despotism."

— James Madison (1751-1836) Father of the Constitution, 4th President of the United States

"I do not think that anyone can study the history of this nation of ours without becoming convinced that divine providence has played a part in it. I have the feeling that God has created us and brought us to our present position and strength for some great purpose!”

— Harry S. Truman (1884-1972, 33rd President of the United States

"Divine Providence has played a great part in our history. I have the feeling that God has created us and brought us to our present position of power and strength for some great purpose. It is not given to us to know fully what that purpose is, but I think we may be sure of one thing, and that is that our country is intended to do all it can, in cooperating with other nations to help created peace and preserve peace in the world. It is given to defend the spiritual values—the moral code—against the vast forces of evil that seek to destroy them.”

— Harry S. Truman (1884-1972, 33rd President of the United States

Ours is a world of nuclear giants and ethical infants... If we continue to develop our technology without wisdom or prudence, our servant may prove to be our executioner."

— Omar Bradley (1893–1981) General WWII

“For in it the righteousness of God is revealed through faith for faith; as it is written, "He who through faith is righteous shall live." For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and wickedness of men who by their wickedness suppress the truth. For what can be known about God is plain to them, because God has shown it to them. Ever since the creation of the world his invisible nature, namely, his eternal power and deity, has been clearly perceived in the things that have been made. So they are without excuse; for although they knew God they did not honor him as God or give thanks to him, but they became futile in their thinking and their senseless minds were darkened. Claiming to be wise, they became fools, and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images resembling mortal man or birds or animals or reptiles. Therefore God gave them up in the lusts of their hearts to impurity, to the dishonoring of their bodies among themselves, because they exchanged the truth about God for a lie and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed for ever! Amen. For this reason God gave them up to dishonorable passions. Their women exchanged natural relations for unnatural, and the men likewise gave up natural relations with women and were consumed with passion for one another, men committing shameless acts with men and receiving in their own persons the due penalty for their error. And since they did not see fit to acknowledge God, God gave them up to a base mind and to improper conduct. They were filled with all manner of wickedness, evil, covetousness, malice. Full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, malignity, they are gossips, slanderers, haters of God, insolent, haughty, boastful, inventors of evil, disobedient to parents, foolish, faithless, heartless, ruthless. Though they know God's decree that those who do such things deserve to die, they not only do them but approve those who practice them.”

— Romans 1:17-32  RSV

“The civilization of Europe, America, and Australia exists today at all only because of the victories of civilized man over the enemies of civilization . . . victories stretching through the centuries from Charles Martel in the 8th Century those Jan Sobieski in the 17th Century.

During the thousand years that included the careers of the Frankish soldiers and the Polish King, the Christians of Asia and Africa proved unable to wage successful war with the Moslem conquerors: and in consequence Christianity practically vanished from the two continents; and today nobody can find in them any ‘social values’ whatever . . . so far as the sphere of Mohammedan influences are concerned.

There are such ‘social values’ today in Europe, America and Australia only because … the Christians of Europe possessed the warlike power to do what the Christians of Asia and Africa had failed to do–that is, to beat back the Muslim invader. If Europe … had not been able to defend itself … there would have been no ‘social values’ … and no sociologists to discuss them.”

— Theodore Roosevelt (1901-1909) 26th President of the United States

As a former soldier, I am delighted that our veterans are sponsoring a movement to increase our awareness of God in our daily lives. In battle, they learned a great truth--that there are no atheists in the foxholes. They know that in time of test and trial, we instinctively turn to God for new courage and peace of mind. All the history of America bears witness to this truth. Out of faith in God, and through faith in themselves as His children, our forefathers designed and built this Republic.

— Dwight D. Eisenhower (1890-1969) Supreme Commander during WWII & 34th President of U.S.

“A nation which does not remember what it was yesterday, does not know what it is today, nor what it is trying to do. We are trying to do a futile thing if we do not know where we came from or what we have been about.” — Woodrow Wilson (1856-1924) 28th President ot the United States

“We cannot say the past is past without surrendering the future.” “The greatest advances in human civilization have come when we recovered what we had lost: when we learned the lessons of history.” “The farther back you can look, the farther forward you are likely to see.”

— Winston Churchill (1874-1965), British Politician & Leader

"There are those who believe that a new modernity demands a new morality. What they fail to consider is the harsh reality that there is no such thing as a new morality. There is only one morality. All else is immorality. There is only true Christian ethics over against which stands the whole of paganism. If we are to fulfill our great destiny as a people, then we must return to the old morality, the sole morality. ... All these blatant sham reformers, in the name of a new morality, preach the old vice of self-indulgence which rotted out first the moral fiber and then even the external greatness of Greece and Rome."

— Theodore Roosevelt (1901-1909) 26th President of the United States

"Progress has brought us both unbounded opportunities and unbridled difficulties. Thus, the measure of our civilization will not be that we have done much, but what we have done with that much. I believe that the next half century will determine if we will advance the cause of Christian civilization or revert to the horrors of brutal paganism. The thought of modern industry in the hands of Christian charity is a dream worth dreaming. The thought of industry in the hands of paganism is a nightmare beyond imagining. The choice between the two is upon us."

— Theodore Roosevelt (1901-1909) 26th President of the United States

“Liberty means responsibility. That is why most men dread it.”

— Robert V. Young, Jr. (1947- -) Professor, Author, and Editor of the quarterly Modern Age

“But should someone ask me whether I would indicate the West such as it is today as a model to my country, frankly I would have to answer negatively. No, I could not recommend your society in its present state as an ideal for the transformation of ours. Through intense suffering our country has now achieved a spiritual development of such intensity that the Western system in its present state of spiritual exhaustion does not look attractive. Even those characteristics of your life which I have just mentioned are extremely saddening.”

“Let me control the textbooks, and I will control the state.”

— Adolph Hitler (1889-1945) Founder of the Nazi Party, German leader responsible for WWII

“God was pitched out of forced schooling on his ear after WWII. This wasn’t because of any constitutional proscription  - There was none that anyone had been able to find in over a century and a half – but because the political state and corporate economy considered the Western spiritual tradition too dangerous a competitor. And it is.”

— John Taylor Gatto (1935) Retired teacher and author on education

“We need to learn history to preserve the lessons that they [founding Fathers] had already learned, so that we don’t make the same mistake.

“You shall have no other gods before me. You shall not make for yourself a graven image, or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is on the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth; you shall not bow down to them or serve them; for I the LORD your God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children to the third and fourth generation of those who hate me, but showing steadfast love to thousands of those who love me and keep my commandments. You shall not take the name of the LORD your God in vain: for the LORD will not hold him guiltless who takes his name in vain. Observe the sabbath day, to keep it holy, as the LORD your God commanded you.”

— Deuteronomy 5:7-12  RSV

"The issues which today confront the nation are clearly defined and so fundamental as to directly involve the very survival of the Republic. Are we going to preserve the religious base to our origin, our growth and our progress, or yield to the devious assaults of atheistic or other anti-religious forces? Are we going to maintain our present course toward State Socialism with Communism just beyond or reverse the present trend and regain our hold upon our heritage of liberty and freedom? ... Are we going to permit a continuing decline in public and private morality or re-establish high ethical standards as the means of regaining a diminishing faith in the integrity of our public and private institutions?... In short, is American life of the future to be characterized by freedom or by servitude, strength or weakness? The answer must be clear and unequivocal if we are to avoid the pitfalls toward which we are now heading with such certainty. In many respects it is not to be found in any dogma of political philosophy but in those immutable precepts which underlie the Ten Commandments."

— Douglas MacArthur (1880-1964) Army General, involved in war in the Philippines, World War I, II & Korean War

“The fundamental basis of this nation’s law was given to Moses on the Mount. The fundamental basis of our Bill of Rights comes from the teaching we get from Exodus and St. Matthew, from Isaiah and St. Paul.”

— Harry S. Truman (1884-1972), 33rd President of the United States

“The most dangerous man, to any government, is the man who Is able to think things out for himself, without regard to the prevailing superstitions and taboos. Almost invariably he comes to the conclusion that the government he lives under is dishonest, insane and intolerable, and so, if he is romantic, he tries to change it. And if he is not romantic personally, he is apt to spread discontent among those who are.”

— Henry L. Mencken (1880-1956) American journalist, editor & satirist

“All that is necessary for evil to succeed is for good men to do nothing as they must if they believe they can do nothing. There is nothing worse because the council of despair is declaration of irresponsibility; it is Pilate washing his hands.”

“I was stretched every which way but loose …"I was stretched by Mel Gibson. I was stretched by the Guy Upstairs and also I was stretched by the guy downstairs. What it did was completely strengthen my faith and I have realized something very interesting. I had never before subscribed to the idea that maybe Satan is a real person, but I can attest that he was in my room a lot and I know that he hit everyone on this production. ...

“I had all these computers and synthesizers in my studio and the hard drives would go down and the digital picture that lives on the computer with the music would just freeze on his [Satan's] face [Movie The Passion of the Christ]. Then the volume would go to ten and it would happen all the time. The first time it happened, it scared me …Once I got over the initial shock of that, I learned to work around it and learned to reboot the computers and so I would start talking to him.

There was one day when I had been on the movie for about four months when it really became bad that day and a lot of things that were causing doubt in me and I had had enough. The computers froze for about the tenth time that day and it was about nine o'clock at night and so I got really mad, and I told Satan to manifest himself and I said, 'Let's go out into the parking lot and let's go.' It was a sea change in me. I knew that this was war. I am not a physical person, but I was really angry on this occasion. I had booted everything down and saved it and I was walking down the stairs and I was verbalizing and saying to Satan, 'Manifest yourself right now.' ... He didn't manifest himself, but I wished he would have. It changed for me after that.”

— John Debeny (1956- ) Award-winning Film Composer, Movie Producer of “The Passion of the Christ”

“The U.S. must not merely possess the means to act alone if necessary; it must also cultivate the will. Fate, or Divine Providence, has placed America at this time in the position of sole superpower, with the consequent duty to uphold global order and to punish, or prevent, the great crimes of the world.”

— Paul Johnson (1928- ), Journalist, historian, speechwriter & author

“There is a battle in our society, a battle in the western world; it’s been lost in the rest of the Western world, at least in Western Europe. The battle ground for this is the United States of America. Will we be governered by, in our own lives, Judaeo Christian values or secular values.”

— Dennis  Prager (1948- ) Author, Columnist & Talk Radio Host

“Socialism is where decent, but ignorant people evolve to automatically. Is the default position. In other words, people left to themselves, without input of wisdom, end up arriving at the conclusion that socialism makes a lot of sense.  … Socialism is only defeated by a constant injection of religo moral energy. Only the Judeo–Christian tradition combats socialism. If you block yourself off from any kind of authentic input of wisdom, little by little socialism begins to make more and more sense.”

— Ronald Reagan (1911-2004) 40th President of the United States

“The Founding Fathers expressed in words for all to read the ideal of Government based upon the dignity of the individual. That ideal previously had existed only in the hearts and minds of men. They produced the timeless documents upon which the Nation is rounded and has grown great. They, recognizing God as the author of individual fights, declared that the purpose of Government is to secure those rights.

To you and to me this ideal of Government is a self-evident truth. But in many lands the State claims to be the author of human rights. The tragedy of that claim runs through all history and, indeed, dominates our own times. If the State gives rights, it can—and inevitably will—take away those rights.

Without God, there could be no American form of Government, nor an American way of life. Recognition of the Supreme Being is the first—the most basic—expression of Americanism. Thus the Founding Fathers saw it, and thus, with God’s help, it will continue to be....Veterans realize, perhaps more clearly than others, the prior place that Almighty God holds in our national life. And they can appreciate, through personal experience, that the really decisive battleground of American freedom is in the hearts and minds of our own people....

The path we travel is narrow and long, beset with many dangers. Each day we must ask that Almighty God will set and keep His protecting hand over us so that we may pass on to those who come after us the heritage of a free people, secure in their God-given rights and in full control of a  Government dedicated to the preservation of those rights.”

— Dwight D. Eisenhower (1890-1969) Supreme Commander during WWII & 34th President of U.S.

“We have many men of science; too few men of God. We have grasped the mystery of the atom and rejected the Sermon on the Mount. Man is blindly stumbling through a spiritual darkness while toying with the precarious secrets of life and death. The world has achieved brilliance without wisdom, power without conscience. Ours is a world of nuclear giants and ethical infants. We know more about war than we know about peace, more about killing than we know about living.”

— Omar Bradley (1893–1981) General WWII

“I shall raise my voice as loud and as often as I believe it to be in the interest of the American people. ... For it is upon the shaking foundation stones of a complacent citizenry that minority pressures become controlling forces and liberty yields to tyranny. …Our threat is from the insidious forces working from within which have already so drastically altered the character of our free institutions, those institutions we proudly called the American way of life.”

"The choice before us is plain: Christ or chaos, conviction or compromise, discipline or disintegration. I am rather tired of hearing about our rights and privileges as American citizens. "America is the hope of every enslaved man, because it is the last bastion of freedom in the world. Only America has the power and spiritual resources to stand as a barrier between militant Communism and the people of the world. It is the last 'dike' holding back the rampaging flood waters of militant Communism. If it crumples, there is no other dike, no other dam; no other line of defense to fall back upon. America is the last hope of millions of enslaved peoples."

“The advent of the "All Volunteer Force" in the 1970s increased the proportion of practicing Christians among both officers and enlisted. Since 9/11, the "foxhole factor" has come into play: The number of atheists is inversely proportional to that of bullets flying. In short, there have been the very opposite of popular pressures for secularization.”

"The United States is only one superpower. Today they lead the world. Nobody has doubts about it. Militarily. They also lead economically but they're getting weak. But they don't lead morally and politically anymore. The world has no leadership. The United States was always the last resort and hope for all other nations. There was the hope, whenever something was going wrong, one could count on the United States. Today, we lost that hope."

"A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and carries his banner openly. But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself. For the traitor appears not a traitor; he speaks in accents familiar to his victims, and he wears their face and their arguments, he appeals to the baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men. He rots the soul of a nation, he works secretly and unknown in the night to undermine the pillars of the city, he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist.  A murderer is less to fear."

— Marcus Tullius Cicero (106-43BC) Roman Philosopher, Lawyer, Statesman and constitutionalist

“God chastises those he loves and all through history whether you want to go back to the Old Testament or New Testament God has always punished all nations when they go against God.

When ever mankind drifts away god, pushes them back in line. So, it isn’t a matter of saying Ok where has scriptures warned me that if my country does such and such. Well it has warned us about morality, basic charity as a society. When society differs and goes against god, we a country were supposed to be a nation under god have given over to a million abortions a year, we are accepting homosexuality as a normal life style, our country is pursing immoral act with in other nations, to where our country it self has become a godless nation. And god himself does not sit back and say oh well let them do what they want to do. God is god and god is going to insure and insist that mankind keep his attention on him one way or another. God doesn’t need 6 billion faithful people that are forced into fidelity, he wants mankind stay in faith fidelity with him by free will and choice. And, god has always through history as the scriptures records and predicts that god purifies mankind to make us worthy to accept us him and receive him as a god.”

— Father Andrew Wingate, Founder of “Oblates of St. Therese”, Radio Interview January 8, 2003

“I stand before you today heart broken, I know history and I love this country …God blessed this country and it took sacrifice because even though they were endowed by their creator with certain unalienable rights, that’s an inheritance. And if you are not willing to fight for you inheritance, even when you leave your children, if they won’t fight for it, they don’t keep it. Mean greedy evil people will take it away.

So many of the things we are doing right now as a country are things that lead to loss of a country. I leave you with this thought and challenge any historian, no mater who you are where you are. You show me a country that ever met its demise while as a nation it was honoring the one true God. You won’t find it. Let’s keep this country alive.”

— Louie Gohmert (1953-  ) Representative from Texas on Bill H.R. 397, 2009

"In essence I find that the foundation of modern conservatism is driven by a clinging to God in fear of the world, whereas the foundation of modern liberalism is a clinging to the world in fear of God; albeit, the true foundation should be one's clinging to God in fear of God.”

― Chriss Jami (Christopher James Gilbert) Poet, essayist, and philosopher

“The founders of the United States of America … founded it on the principles ancient convent between the Hebrews and God. The only reason that we fear that right now we stare down into the abyss of doom. The only reason that deep in our hearts we question whether the United States of American will indeed continue, and will it indeed continue as the nation we know and love. The only reason that deep in our hearts we worry for its future is because deep in our hearts we know that this country had abandoned the faith of Abraham, Isaiah, and Jacob. This county has stepped out from beneath that convent, that guaranteed durability. Not just ancient Israel but all those who followed in those paths.”

"There is an old Christian hymn that says this is my father’s world and I am absolute convinced of that. We need to be more sensitive to the movement of God in our history because it gives us reason for optimism. You know, a lot of times we feel very pessimistic. But when we see how God has already moved in the past, why would we fear for the future?"

— Chaplin Barry Black – ( 1948-)  62nd Chaplain of the U.S. Senate (from the Movie Monumental)

“This is a new nation when we think about history and world history. And this country was allowed to emerge adn become what it is because of the grace of God. And those who founded this nation understood that. An that’s why—you know, America hasn’t been destroyed like other nations that have fallen because because there are still people here who call on  the name of the lord.”

— Alvida King (1951-) Christian Minister and Author (from the Movie Monumental)

"After World War II...we had the opportunity to rule the world. … Something has happened since those days and there is much about America that is no longer good...the list is almost endless ... We have confused liberty with license - and we are paying the awful price. We are a society poised on the brink of self-destruction. ... What is the problem? The real problem is within ourselves. ... I believe the fundamental crisis of our time is a crisis of the spirit. We have lost sight of the moral and spiritual principles on which this nation was established - principles drawn largely from the Judeo-Christian tradition as found in the Bible.”

— Billy Graham (1918 - Christian Evangelist and Minister

"Without God there is no virtue because there is no prompting of the conscience....without God there is a coarsening of the society; without God democracy will not and cannot long endure.... America needs God more than God needs America. If we ever forget that we are One Nation Under God, then we will be a Nation gone under."

— Ronald Reagan (1911-2004) 40th President of the United States

"We can't have it both ways. We can't expect God to protect us in a crisis and just leave Him over there on the shelf in our day-to-day living. I wonder if sometimes He isn't waiting for us to wake up, He isn't maybe running out of patience."

— Ronald Reagan (1911-2004) 40th President of the United States

“Practically every social institution is in chaos; moral relativism and situational ethics pervade every arena of public life. Any attempts to invoke the authority of Scripture or lessons of history elicits a cry of, ‘Don’t try to push your view of right and wrong on me; I have my own morality!’ We have reached a point of moral deterioration about which the prophets of Israel proclaimed, ‘Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil; who substitute darkness for light and light for darkness; who substitute bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter! Woe to those who are wise in their own eyes, and clever in their own sight! Woe to those who are heroes in drinking wine, and valiant men in mixing strong drink; who justify the wicked for a bribe, and take away the rights of the ones who are in the right!” (Isaiah 5:20-23)

— William (Bill) R. Bright (1921-2003) Minister, Author, and Film Producer

“When a nation establishes its precepts and its standards upon the standards of the Bible, you see a civilization rise. This is now the fruit of what generations before have given to us. And that is why we need to understand, we have lived off the wealth of greatness, greatness of the founders who understood where all truth begins. Truth is what this nation was built upon, the truth of the Bible. And that’s why going forward if we are to be blessed, we need to recognize, what has worked in the past. Which is recognizing the sovereign hand of a holy God and the precepts and the truths of his word. That is what we need to establish today. We can’t just live off the past we have to renew those truths for the next generation.”

― Michele Bachmann – (1956) Member of the House of Representatives from Minnesota

(If we condone or encourage homosexual behavior.) “We risk incurring God’s judgment by legitimizing homosexuality, permitting gay marriage, and misusing science for procreation. If we legalize homosexual marriage in America, we will go ‘on the record’ as disregarding God’s laws and offending the laws of nature. We would do well to count the cost of such disobedience before we reap divine displeasure”

— William (Bill) R. Bright (1921-2003) Minister, Author, and Film Producer

"Scripture reminds us: 'From everyone who has been given much, much will be demanded; and from the one who has been entrusted with much, much more will be asked.' (Luke 12:4). God expects each of us—having been blessed with peace, with prosperity, with life—to dedicate ourselves unreservedly to the task at hand, to rebuild our moral and spiritual foundation which was built upon the eternal truth of God. That foundation made America great. It birthed our nation more than two centuries ago. If we pay the price, we will lead our nation into rebirth and gloriously usher into the ‘Next American Century.'! …

If we continue our destructive path, our time for restoring America is very short indeed. … Over the past fifty years, the United States of America has reversed its course from a nation where godliness prevailed to a nation that seemingly has not time for God. Our drug/sex/rock culture pervades the whole earth through television and movies, with devastating moral effects, eerily reminding us of Babylon described in Jeremiah 51:7: 'She made the whole earth drunk. The nations drank her wine; therefore they have now gone mad.' …

Most Americans have forsaken the principles and morals standards that come from God though His inspired word, the Bible; they have traded absolute truth for a humanistic lie. As a result, the nation is reaping the consequences of that flow from our unconfessed sin. As in Babylon, America is having a massive drinking party to the gods of humanism, secularism, materialism, and atheism.

Listen to this biblical warning given to ancient Israel as they stood poised to enter the Promised Land. …"

“When you have eaten your fill, bless the Lord your God for the good land he has given you. But that is the time to be careful! Beware that in your plenty you don’t forget the Lord your God and begin to disobey him. For when you have become full and prosperous and have built fine homes to live in, and when your flocks and herds have become very large, and your silver and gold have multiplied, that is the time to watch out that you don’t become proud, and forget the lord your God.”

“But if you forget about the Lord your God and worship other gods instead, and follow evil ways, you shall certainly perish, just as the Lord has caused other nations in the past to perish. That will be your fate too, if you don’t obey the Lord your God.” (Deuteronomy 8:10-14,19, 20)

“Like the Pharisees and Sadducees, many people today do not recognize God reaching out to them, nor do they discover the truth of God’s Word and the simple solutions needed to turn out situation around. Most tragically, they do not foresee their own inevitable destruction because they have rejected God’s personal warning. … Today, America has only two choices: continue its ungodly path to destruction, or respond to God’s call for repentance. … He will restore our nation even at this late hour.

"Our laws and customs were constructed to reflect the Ten Commandments, not only to provide for a good life after death, but for a good life on earth. Christians believe Christs' order to Love thy God with all thy heart, thy whole soul, thy whole mind and with all thy strength, and love thy neighbor as thyself. We try to live by that Golden Rule in our public and private life. Unfortunately, the Commandments and the Golden Rule are being forgotten by our society; to achieve our rebirth, we must recall them. “God has a funny sense of humor. He has a way of treating things, he deals with each individual soul delicately, tenderly, compassionately but he deals with groups of people [a country] according to certain laws and he always observes those laws and that means the innocent are punished with the evil.”

— Father Malachi Martin (Author, Priest and Theologian)

“God has always done judgements. … Ninety-nine percent of the time [He has] done judgements that you will find in the Old Testament. That is He has used nations with their weapons of destruction that have had at that point in time to do His judgements. … He will use existing nations with their arsenal of weapons to do His judgements.”

— Larry Massa (Biblical Teacher, Researcher and Author)

“We may wonder at the choice of Israel and Rome as the archetypes of the new nation, in view of the long history of suffering of the former and the decline of the latter.

— Robert N. Bellah (Sociologist, Professor and Author)

“The (government/media) is not on the side of traditional Biblical values at all. …it takes is an internal standard. This goes back to integrity … ethics today is seen as something very secular. In previous generations ethics was tied to morality, which was tied to integrity, which was tied to religion. So what you find is the more secular an entity becomes the less integrity it has, the less ethical it will be. And that is the problem with the media. The media is, along with professors, those are the two most secular entities in America. ….

Joseph story (1779-1845 put on the Supreme Court Justice by James Madison … said … To secure integrity there must a lofty sense of duty and a deep responsibility to future times as well as to God. … If you are going to have integrity you have to realize you are accountable to God for what you do and say, and if you do that, then you will make that conform because you will answer to Him if you don’t, so that what  creates integrity. That is what we lack in the media today. A God consciousness, no no no no no, it is an anti-God consciousness. … there is not a sense of right and wrong because clearly the media has this equivalency, this moral relativism …A lofty sense of duty, duty means doing with is right even if it hard, even if you don’t want to. …(when) you have a lofty sense of duty and in addition that you have a sense of accountability to future generations and to God. When that is lacking you have bias that clearly come through there will be bias that reflect their beliefs and won’t even attempt to present truth.”

— David Barton, Author and Public Speaker on America’s Biblical Heritage (Wallbuilders - Live 9-18-2014)

“Those public policy decisions do result in consequences … even the good guys had to go thought the nation judgment brought on by bad policies from national leaders. Even if you disagree with those polices, even if you disagree with  non-discrimination ordinances if your city has one God not going to be able to bless that … Even for those who don’t get involved in politics you will pay a price for what your political leaders do. You are not isolated from that …”

— David Barton, Author and Public Speaker on America’s Biblical Heritage (Wallbuilders Daily Radio - 9-9-2014)

“Today it is said we live in a secular society in which many people---the best people, the most enlightened people---do not believe in any religion. But I think that you cannot eliminate religion from the psyche of mankind. If you suppress it in one form, it merely re-emerges in another form. You can not believe in God, but you still have to believe in something that gives meaning to your life, and shapes your sense of the world. Such a belief is religious.

Today, one of the most powerful religions in the Western World is environmentalism. Environmentalism seems to be the religion of choice for urban atheists. Why do I say it's a religion? Well, just look at the beliefs. If you look carefully, you see that environmentalism is in fact a perfect 21st century remapping of traditional Judeo-Christian beliefs and myths.

There's an initial Eden, a paradise, a state of grace and unity with nature, there's a fall from grace into a state of pollution as a result of eating from the tree of knowledge, and as a result of our actions there is a judgment day coming for us all. We are all energy sinners, doomed to die, unless we seek salvation, which is now called sustainability. Sustainability is salvation in the church of the environment. Just as organic food is its communion, that pesticide-free wafer that the right people with the right beliefs, imbibe.

Eden, the fall of man, the loss of grace, the coming doomsday---these are deeply held mythic structures. They are profoundly conservative beliefs. They may even be hard-wired in the brain, for all I know. I certainly don't want to talk anybody out of them, as I don't want to talk anybody out of a belief that Jesus Christ is the son of God who rose from the dead. But the reason I don't want to talk anybody out of these beliefs is that I know that I can't talk anybody out of them. These are not facts that can be argued. These are issues of faith.

And so it is, sadly, with environmentalism. Increasingly it seems facts aren't necessary, because the tenets of environmentalism are all about belief. It's about whether you are going to be a sinner, or saved. Whether you are going to be one of the people.”

— John Michael Crichton (1942–2008) Author, Physician, Film Producer and Director

“I would be the first to advocate obeying just laws. One has not only a legal but a moral responsibility to obey just laws. Conversely, one has a moral responsibility to disobey unjust laws. I would agree with St. Augustine that ‘an unjust law is no law at all.’

Now, what is the difference between the two? How does one determine whether a law is just or unjust? A just law is a man made code that squares with the moral law or the law of God. An unjust law is a code that is out of harmony with the moral law. To put it in the terms of St. Thomas Aquinas: An unjust law is a human law that is not rooted in eternal law and natural law. ….”

— Martin Luther King, Jr. (1929–1968)  African-American Civil Rights leader

“One if the divine mysteries of life is how and why God protects some people.”

“I think what happening is the adversary (satin) in his arrogance and pride has becomes so bold that he has tipped his hand. He usually is the great masquerader who hides his reals goals. But in this case he made the mistake of revealing his true agenda.

What is happening in America today isn’t a political debate. It is the confrontation, the conflict between two mutual exclusive religions. They can’t coexist. One is going to prevail over the other. And the godless humanism of the religion that has come to predominate throughout our culture thinks it’s now so powerful that it can intrude into every dimension of people’s lives. And Government has become more and more intrusive in that way controlling what we think and what we say.

And Christians my finally begin recognize how much is at stake here and what stand to lose. This isn’t about Republicans and Democrats or liberals and conservatives. This is about the integrity of our faith as Christians, and our commitment to the word of God. Can we preach what God says, can we live by what the Bible teaches, or is the coercive power of the government going to destroy freedoms that we as Americas we have always pretty much taken for granted because they have always been there.

Well now they are under attack in a blatant and obvious way that is unprecedented in American history.  And hopefully that will wake up a lot of folks.”

— Dr. Laurence L. White – Pastor of Our Savior Lutheran Church Huston, TX (Wallbuilders Radio 11-4-2014)

"Judgment is real, just as heaven and hell are real … An intrinsic evil (abortion, contraception, premarital sex, same-sex acts and the taking of innocent human life) is anything that is always and at every time wrong -- that can never be seen as a ‘good …

all of us will be judged by how we vote. And, yes, there are many Catholics with erroneous consciences who have made prudential judgments that are wrong and have consistently made prudential judgments that are wrong.

Either they do not fully understand the teaching of the Church or they choose to ignore that teaching and they choose an evil, and an intrinsic evil.

For any society to be just, it must reflect the order of God …There are fundamental rights that no one can violate and those are the inalienable rights that our forefathers recognized so clearly -- and note the order -- life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.”

— Samuel J. Aquila (1950) Catholic Archbishop of Denver

“… in order to enslave a person, he must be taught to think of himself as an animal with no spiritual purpose and no eternal soul.

Once he has been "programmed” to reject God, he is ready to embrace the State as his god and master The communist know that a person who holds to his belief in God cannot be enslaved. You may imprision his body, but you will never enslave his mind and spirit. Thus the concept of God must be erased from the minds of people in order for them to be the slaves of the State.”

“For the final goal of world-revolution is not socialism or even Communism, it is not a change in the existing economic system, it is not the destruction of civilization in a material sense: the revolution desired by the leaders is a moral and spiritual revolution, an anarchy of ideas by which all standards set up throughout nineteen centuries shall be reversed, all honored traditions trampled under foot, and, above all, the Christian ideal finally obliterated.”

— Nesta Helen Webster (1876–1960) British Historian and Author writing on the Occult and Secret Societies (Book Secret Societies and Subversive Movements, 1924)

“Secular humanism and Christianity are on a collision course. Any system that teaches anything contrary to moral relativism — such as the Christian doctrine of absolute truth and biblical moral standards — is a threat to the entire humanistic position. And on order for humanism to bring about its desired goals, man must be stripped of his belief in God and moral absolutes. Humanism cannot prevail as long as man believes in God.

The strand of humanism runs through the fabric of many social and political movements bent on establishing a new world order. The most notable of these on the world stage today are Communism and Socialism. Their basic beliefs contain the same enmity toward God and moral absolutes as reflected in humanism.”

“Welcome to a culture where right and wrong have taken such a beating they’re no longer recognizable. If you think this debasement of our culture can never really affect you, think again. Today’s moral relativism and selfish agendas are moving through the whole body of society like a cancer, putting all of us at risk.”

— Tammy Bruce – Radio Talk Show Host, Author (Book The Death of Right and Wrong: Exposing the Left's Assault on Our Culture, pg 11)

“Every member of the Senate takes the same oath and here’s where I differ with a lot of my colleagues.  Let me read the oath to you because I think it’s part of our problem. ‘I do solemnly swear or affirm that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies foreign and domestic.  That I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same. That I take this obligation freely without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter, so help me God.’

Your state is not mentioned one time on that oath.  Your whole goal is to protect the United States of America, Constitution and liberties. It is not to be able to provide benefits to your state. That’s where we differ. That is where my conflict with my collogues.

It’s nice to be able to do things for your state, but that isn’t our charge. Our charge is to protect the future of our country by upholding the Constitution and ensuring the liberty that’s guaranteed there is protected and preserved. …  Can we cheat history? … But I don’t believe we can if we continue to ignore the wisdom of our founding documents.”

— Thomas Allen "Tom" Coburn (1948) Medical Doctor and Senator from Oklahoma

“There are laws in the spirit realm. There are laws in the universe that God sets in place that cannot be changed. Not even by even by God himself. He could because he is sovereign and he is powerful but he will not. Because God will abide by the laws that he himself set in motion. He will submit to those laws. There are all sorts or laws. There are physical laws. There are cosmic laws that rule the celestial bodies. There are physical laws such like the laws of gravity that govern our physical world. And there are spiritual laws that God set in place and everybody has to abide by those laws, including God himself. The angels have to abide by those laws and devils and demons have to abide by those laws. So there certain things that governs everything that happens. …

The thing that people need to understand is that both God and the devil, or demons, cannot do anything unless people cooperate with them. This is a concept that a lot of people do not comprehend. They don’t comprehend it. God cannot do anything …on this earth unless man prays, and unless man cooperates. And this is something that is alien to most people. They cannot grasp that concept. They think that because God is so powerful, and he is so sovereign, he can do whatever he wants, at any time he wants, and doesn’t need anybody. …

In 2 Cornicles 7:14 if my people which are called by my name shall humble themselves and pray and turn from their wicked ways then I will heal from heaven; and I will heal their land. But when that does not happen, God will not intervene. God can intervene. God can intervene right now in America. God can intervene, but is not going to happen unless there is a lot of God’s people praying and interceding and people start repenting on their sin like Nineveh. Now of course Nineveh was Old Testament but principle is the same. The principles are the same.

When a nation becomes wicked, when a nation becomes corrupted, God has no choice but to step back and let the powers of darkness do whatever they want to do. … When you hear the term ‘allows,’ is that he has no choice he cannot do anything because we have shut him out. We have shut him out of schools. We have kicked him out of schools. We have kicked him out of the government. We have kicked him out of our lives, kicked him out of everything and so he is unable. He cannot intervene. God cannot relieve his angels to minister for you because you kicked him out of your life. … It is a legal issue.

It is a legal issue. See the Lord ‘WILL NEVER’, I repeat, ‘WILL NEVER’ come into a place he is not invited. It works both ways. The devil and the demons cannot come into a house, a life, or a nation or whatever unless they are invited. And the angels of God and the Lord himself cannot come into a life, into a city, into a nation unless they are invited. It works both ways. … But the only way (back under God’s protection) it will happen is if God’s people in America will intercede and pray, that is the only way it will happen. …Most people have no idea the power of prayer.

Right now God is looking throughout America for people to stand in the gap. So he does not allow the powers of darkness that are about to ravage, ravage, and destroy this nation. God is looking for intercessors that will stand in the gap so he can send his angels from heaven and protect. Protect, a life, a protect a home, a family, protect a city, protect a nation. That is why this nation has not been destroyed so far. Because there have been people here, there have been Christians here who have been standing in the gap and they have been paying for very many years.”

Without virtue, civilization dies.

Without religion, virtue dies.

Therefore without religion, civilization dies.

In other words:

Virtue is necessary for the survival of civilization

And religion is necessary for the survival of virtue.

Therefore religion is necessary for the survival of civilization.

— Peter Kreeft (1937) Professor, and Christian Author (book Back to Virtue, pg. 192-193)

“Do we want people punished, based on other people’s preconceptions, rather than on the facts of the individual case? Apparently there are ranting mobs who do, and many in the media who give them a platform for spouting off …

Every society has orders and rules, but not every society has the rule of law — “a government of laws and not of men.” Nor was it easy to achieve even an approximation of the rule of law. It took centuries of struggle — and lives risked and sacrificed — to achieve it in those countries which have some approximation of it today.

To just throw all of that overboard because of mobs, the media or racial demagoguery is staggering.

A generation that jumps to conclusions on the basis of its own emotions, or succumbs to the passions or rhetoric of others, deserves to lose the freedom that depends on the rule of law. Unfortunately, what they say and what they do can lose everyone’s freedom, including the freedom of generations yet unborn.

If grand juries are supposed to vote on the basis of what mobs want, instead of on the basis of the evidence that they see — and which the mob doesn’t even want to see — then we forfeit the rule of law and our freedom that depends on it.”

 — Thomas Sowell (1930)  Economist, Political Philosopher, and Author

“If there is a God, there is a map. If God has a map, his map is the true map.

The civilization you sit in … is now obvious in crisis, perhaps death pangs, twisting grotesquely like a dying animal, swirling down the garbage drain—this civilization was founded on God’s road map.

The most striking feature if this map is the stark fat of the Two Roads. There is the road that leads to Life, and there is the road that leads to Death. There is Good, and there is Evil. There is Right and there is Wrong.”

— Peter Kreeft (1937) Professor, and Christian Author (book Back to Virtue, pg 11.)

“God knows the meaning of history better than historians do because history is ‘his story.’ He is its Author and we are its characters. It is true that human free choice moves history, but so does God … moves the plot.”

— Peter Kreeft (1937) Professor, and Christian Author (book Back to Virtue, pg. 47)

“The present. Where do we go from here? Nearly everyone agrees we are standing at the edge of an age, perhaps a new axial period. We have left modernity behind almost as surely as we have left antiquity behind We are ‘postmodern’. But we do not yet know is what that means.

From our unique experiment in living without a set of objective values. Only two roads lie open: return or destruction. Once the sled is on the slippery slope leading to the abyss, we either bake or break; and no amount of rhetoric about ‘progress’ can alter that fact. Crying ‘progress’ as we die will not rise us from death.”

— Peter Kreeft (1937) Professor, and Christian Author (book Back to Virtue, pg. 36)

“I have come to see the real clash of the ages, involve wars and various historical circumstances, as being a clash of satan’ s versus God’s plan for man to learn and experience true liberty, by first receiving forgiveness of sins through the work of Christ on the cross, and then walking in the ‘newness of life.

Life really is that simple. Satan tries to corrupt and destroy the joy God desires for His children. Satan has used ignorance to keep people from experiencing God’s love and plan of salvation. People have groped in the darkness, being led to forfeit their God-given rights of liberty in Christ Jesus. Satan has used various governments of the world to suppress people by taxing them to death, and keeping them ignorant by means of their godless government schools. He has used anything he can to keep people from understanding that they can learn how to govern themselves from God’ great law book, the Bible.

Our Founding Fathers deliberately used the Bible as their guide. They tried to ensure that schools, likewise, use the Bible to teach Christian self-government, the true source of liberty. These Scriptural principles were so instilled in the minds of our forefathers that they would fight and die for liberty. This divine fight, however, is not easily won our arch foe is ruthless in enslaving mankind.”

“Does God intervene in the affairs of men, and wars? If so, all war? Does God choose sides in war? Does He determine the outcome? Obviously the answer to those questions is a resounding ‘Yes!’ God is sovereign, omnipotent, omnipresent, and omniscient. Wars and their outcome are directly decided according to His will; God determines who will lose or win.”

— Richard “Little Bear” Wheeler – Author, Public Speaker and Storyteller, and Pastor (book God’s Mighty Hand, pg. 191-192)

“It is essential for us to undertand where the source our blessings is … It is a principle that was established by God in which he made us to function in a certin way. When peope operate in accourdane with his laws they prosper. It is not they create the laws that they discover and operate within them. When you undertand and operate within them there is prosperity and peace.”

“There is an unfortunate tendency for modern commentators to emphasize the spiritual and personal aspects of the prophetic message to the people as individuals, and to ignore the stated transgressions of a nation as a whole. … Transgression, in short, requires punishment; if rebellion is national and collective, then punishment will be national and collective. This has great importance today: similar sins should produce similar punishment.”

"The choice before us is plain: Christ or chaos, conviction or compromise, discipline or disintegration. I am rather tired of hearing about our rights and privileges as American Citizens. “This is what it means when God abandons a society. Sexual revolution, down one more step; homosexual revolution, down one more step; you can't ever get your way out of it because the mind, the cultural mind is gone...it's gone...it's gone.  And I would put it this way, maybe simply, there's no surer indicator of a corrupted, wicked and abandoned society under God's wrath than when that society does not tolerate anger against sin.  This society will not tolerate you standing up and displaying righteous indignation against sin.”

— John MacArthur (1939) Pastor of  Grace Community Church and host of Radio Show Grace to You

“Everything in the physical world has limits. You have limits. I have limits. Only God is without limits. And therein lies the problem. Government is filled with godless people who somehow think that job is open. They are climbing over each other to fill that position. And you know what? It’s going to happen. God is going to let them fill that position for a brief time. The time will be brief … This is going to be trouble on a scale beyond what the world has ever seen.”

“Morally and ethically, the U.S. Supreme Court justices who voted to force states to legalize abortion are as guilty as the abortion clinics that have murdered 65 million innocents since Roe v Wade. Out of thin air, a “right” was discovered in the nation’s founding documents guaranteeing that half the population could relieve itself of the consequences of an unwanted pregnancy, at the cost of another human being’s life.

In place of 65 million babies that would have been, the abortion industry sprang to life. Doctors, who had sworn an oath to “do no harm” suddenly found abortion a lucrative career. Like most industries “serving” the poor, it soon demanded public subsidy for its “good works.”

Enterprising politicians took this campaign blood money, blessed it at the altar of their ambitions and offered the increase that the abortion industry sought. In so doing, they slaughtered the right to conscience for American taxpayers who recognized abortion as the abomination that it was: the willful murder of innocents by that one person God most intended to protect them.

Having succeeded in destroying the conscience of this nation, those same politicians set their sights on the rest of the world. American taxpayers subsidized this, too. We exported our brutality worldwide.

Curiously silent were America’s Christian churches. Beyond offering sermons or homilies on an annual right-to-life Sunday, and lighting a candle for the endless list of victims, they chose to worship as the alter of 501(c)3 IRS tax deductible contributions. Christians who did exercise their freedom of speech against abortion were marginalized by the media-wing of the abortion industry and prosecuted by the government.

The debate fell silent. Only God cared. Welcome to the endgame, America. Judgment has arrived. …weep for what was once America.”

(Feedback about Matt’s piece responding to the Supreme Court’s gay marriage ruling) “There’s nothing like being called a bigoted pile of garbage in the first sentence and being told in the next that love has won. Indeed, you know love has emerged victorious when a bunch of liberals are screaming in your face, calling your children ugly, and urging you to kill yourself. …

Progressivism, as we’ve seen, is a bubbling cauldron of vile, hideous hatred. They dress it up in vacuous, absurd little symbols and hashtags and bright colors, yet the elites who drive the gay agenda are not out to spread love and happiness, but hostility and suspicion. And the obedient lemmings who blindly conform, with rainbows in their Facebook photos and chanting whatever motto they’ve been assigned, don’t really understand what they’re doing or why they’re doing it. The fact that this is the same ideology to come up with vapid slogans like #LoveWins is an irony too bewildering to comprehend.

When our culture was grounded in Christian principles, we used to think of love in the way that St. Paul described it: Love is patient, love is kind, love does not boast, love is not self-seeking. Now in this progressive dystopia, love has suddenly become something that tells you to drink battery acid and die. The difference is slight, but noticeable.  …

When we’re dealing with moral quandaries — questions of right and wrong, truth and lies — it is not a legitimate argument to say “it doesn’t affect me. …Marriage is the bedrock upon which all of human civilization rests. To expand its definition into oblivion is to weaken and destabilize it. …It makes no sense. That is, until you come to understand that liberals desire not to fortify or strengthen the family, but to dismember it.”

— Matt Walsh – Public Speaker and Commentator for WND

“The Supreme Court has spoken and ruled from a position of common law - human law - that gay and lesbian couples have a fundamental right to marry. This is the highest rule that humans can make. Yet this is not the final word.

In the end, natural law, God's law will always trump common law. Do not fear or be confused or deceived. Remain prayerful. Keep looking up. God will have the final word in this matter.”

“There’s an individual, an individual and his own wickedness or individual work is going to be judged in the Eternity so to speak after life. But a nation the sins or the iniquities of a nation have to be judged in mortality rather than immorality. And in when it’s charged in mortality, then it’s the nation that has to be punished. We’re told in the New Testament that there’s no forgiveness of sin without the shedding of blood. Now individual sin can be forgiven because of the blood of Christ, but the sin of a nation, the blood that has to be shed, in their turn from the absence of God is the blood of the citizens themselves. The nation suffers because of it not the individual. Individual sin is judged in the hereafter. The sins of a nation have to be judged because there are no nations in the hereafter.”

“There are only two states of being: submission to God and goodness or the refusal to submit to anything beyond one’s own will—which refusal automatically enslaves one to the forces of evil. We must ultimately belong to God or the devil. This paradox was of course, expressed by Christ when he said, ‘Whoever will save his life shall lose it. And whoever shall lose his life, for my sake, shall find it.’ … As C.S. Lewis put it, ‘There is no neutral ground in the universe: every square inch, every split second is claimed by God or satan.’”

“Somehow or other an extraordinary idea has arisen that the disbelievers in miracles consider them coldly and fairly, while believers in miracles accept them only in connection with some dogma. The fact is quite the other way. The believers in miracles accept them because they have evidence for them. The disbelievers in miracles deny them because they have a doctrine against them.”

“During my lifetime, I have seen the rise of fascism and communism. Both philosophies glorify the arbitrary power of the state. These ideologies held, at first, a certain fascination for some intellectuals. But both theories fail. Both deny those God-given liberties that are the inalienable right of each person on this planet; indeed they deny the existence of God. Because of this fundamental flaw, fascism has already been destroyed, and the bankruptcy of communism has been laid bare for all to see -- a system that is efficient in producing machines of war but cannot feed its people.”

— Ronald Reagan (1911-2004) 40th President of the United States

“The code which those words perpetuate embraces the highest moral laws and will stand the test of any ethics or philosophies ever promulgated for the uplift of mankind. Its requirements are for the things that are right, and its restraints are from the things that are wrong. The soldier, above all other men, is required to practice the greatest act of religious training - sacrifice. In battle and in the face of danger and death, he discloses those divine attributes which his Maker gave when he created man in his own image. No physical courage and no brute instinct can take the place of the Divine help which alone can sustain him. However horrible the incidents of war may be, the soldier who is called upon to offer and to give his life for his country, is the noblest development of, mankind. …

For a century and a half you have defended, guarded, and protected its hallowed traditions of liberty and freedom, of right and justice. These great national problems are not for your professional participation or military solution. Your guidepost stands out like a ten-fold beacon in the night - Duty - Honor - Country.”

“Our Lord was crucified by the nice people who held that religion was all right in its place, so long as its place was not here, where it might demand a change of heart. The Cross of Calvary stands at the crossroads of three prosperous civilizations as eloquent testimony to the uncomfortable truth that the successful people, the social leaders, the people who are labeled nice, are the ones most capable of crucifying the Divine Truth and the Eternal Love.

The gravest error of the nice people in all ages is denial of sin. Yet this is always a hopeless illogical stand for any person to take. Even in the natural order, laws cannot be broken without disastrous consequences.”

"If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it. The lie can be maintained only for such time as the State can shield the people from the political, economic and/or military consequences of the lie. It thus becomes vitally important for the State to use all of its powers to repress dissent, for the truth is the mortal enemy of the lie, and thus by extension, the truth is the greatest enemy of the State.”

The fools will do right or wrong depending on which is the more popular. And they are divided into white fools and black fools. The white fools would rather do right but will do wrong if it's popular. And the black fools would rather do wrong but will do right if that's the more popular. George Barna on the 2017 electrion results

“So we've got to rethink what we do with a media that is intent on turning America socialist. What we do with the media that will lie and steal and cheat in order to get their preferred candidates elected to office?

Everybody sitting here, the fact that you got elected is a miracle. You may not have had to deal with the national mainstream media the way that Mr. Trump did. But still you're dealing with a lot of the distortions that the media have planted in the minds and hearts of the people even those who voted for you.

If we believe in truth, we have to rethink what do we do with the media that does not believe in truth? A media that by and large is continually teaching a postmodern world view to Americans. One that says, "Truth is what you make it. Truth is what you personally decide it will be. There is no objective truth that's right for everybody."

I can tell you from our research with millennials more and more believe that because they are such a media saturated generation and because there is very little push back to that postmodern teaching. They're behind that lock stock and barrel. Which is going to make it harder and harder for our younger conservative candidates to ever get elected to anything.

As I look at the future of America this to me is if not the single biggest issue that we have to address, it certainly is one of them. This is Satan's great tool for distorting the American heart and mind. … The reality is that, particularly our younger people, are moving more toward a socialist perspective. That's what they've been taught in schools.  That's what their discussions are in social media and so forth.  So we have to address that.”

George Barna - Founder of The Barna Group, Wallbuilders Radio Show 1-19&20-2017

“I want you to remember that God, when He does magnificent things, he always uses a remnant. God has never waited until he had a majority of the people on his side to get something done.”

George Barna - Founder of The Barna Group, a market research firm specializing in studying the religious beliefs and behavior of Americans

"It is not of any external threat that I concern myself but rather of insidious forces working from within which have already so drastically altered the character of our free institutions - these institutions which formerly we hailed as something beyond question of challenge - those institutions we proudly called the American way of life. Foremost of these forces is that directly, or even more frequently indirectly, allied with the scourge of imperialistic Communism. It has infiltrated into positions of public trust and responsibility - into journalism, the press, the radio and the school.

It seeks through covert manipulation of the civil power and the media of public information and education to pervert the truth, impair respect for moral values, suppress human freedom and representative government, and in the end destroy our faith in our religious teachings.

This evil force, with neither spiritual base nor moral standard, rallies the abnormal and subnormal elements among our citizenry and applies internal pressure against all things we hold descent and all things that we hold right - the type of pressure which has caused many Christian nations abroad to fall and their own cherished freedoms to languish in the shackles of complete suppression. As it has happened there it can happen here. Our need for patriotic fervor and religious devotion was never more impelling.

There can be no compromise with atheistic Communism, no half way in the preservation of freedom and religion. It must be all or nothing. We must unite in the high purpose that the liberties etched upon the design of our life by our forefathers be unimpaired and that we maintain the moral courage and spiritual leadership to preserve inviolate that mighty bulwark of all freedom, our Christian faith."

“As the culture war is about irreconcilable beliefs about God and man, right and wrong, good and evil, and is at root a religious war, it will be with us so long as men are free to act on their beliefs.

Yet, given the divisions among us, deeper and wider than ever, it is an open question as to how, and how long, we will endure as one people.”

— Pat Buchanan (1938) Author, Columnist, Political Commentator, Politian

“Free speech was founded some 2,000 years ago in a cradle in Bethlehem. It was not created on the coast of California. Free speech is grounded in the words, “You shall know the truth and the truth shall set you free.” Free speech was emblazoned across many a library and many universities. In the words of truth, in the words of Christ, “Truth Shall Set You Free.”

And the irony is that Berkeley has a Biblical motto. They may not know it, but their motto, their very official motto at Berkeley is, “Let there be light.” A reference to Scripture being the guiding light of a free society.

You can have no freedom without fences, you cannot have any liberty without law. You don’t get light unless you have illumination that’s objective, and permanent, and immutable, and true. Berkeley grounds it’s freedom in the truth of Christ and the truth of Scripture without knowing it. And when they abandon it they get fascism, not freedom, they get tyranny when they abandon truth …

Dartmouth, and Princeton, and Yale, and Harvard, every institution in the Ivy league except one was grounded in a Biblical worldview, explicitly. Explicitly by virtue of their charter, their founding documents, their motto, and their charge. And we know this across the land that there is a repeated reference, a Biblical worldview as the context for true liberty (but no longer).”

— Everett Piper - (1959) President of Oklahoma Wesleyan University (Walbuilders Live 6-12-2017)

“I say explicitly that the doctrines of the Democratic Party today are not the doctrines of a political philosophy. They are the doctrines of a sick and evil pathology. There’s no question about it. … I laugh when people say, “Well, I’m an economic conservative, but a social liberal.” The idea that you can separate sex and money is complete nonsense.

If you adopt liberalism in one well then you are contributing to the decline of the entire society. And as I say, you can call it liberalism, modernisms, communism, or progressivism, or socialism, it doesn’t really matter what you call it.”

“the name of the book is Not a Daycare The subtitle is, “The Devastating Consequences of Abandoning Truth.” The argument is this, when you get rid of truth you lose your freedom. If there is no truth you shall not be set free. Opinions and feelings always lead to bondage, and slavery, and bad community, bad kids, and bad culture, and bad corporations, bad country, and bad government.

Biblical facts, the truth with a capital T, is the context for freedom. As Chesterton told us when you build the fences of God’s revealed truth, you will have the ultimate measure of human freedom ever proven throughout the course of all of human history. …

Corporations can trust them. You know you’re hiring somebody that believes in telling the truth. As opposed to somebody that went to, the let’s say the University of Michigan, where they actually have a course titled, “Ethics and Corporate Management” where it says this in the course description, “We do not teach that truthfulness and honesty are anything but subjective moral concepts.”

In other words, there is no such thing as truthfulness and honesty when it’s within a course about ethics at the University of Michigan. What are they teaching? It’s no wonder that those kids are graduating and lying when they worked for Enron, and WorldCom, or whatnot. And then the company collapses because of dishonesty and deceit.

Wouldn’t you rather hire a kid from OKWU that will tell you the truth and do accurate accounting and not steal from you? Rather than somebody that believes the truthfulness and honesty are anything but a personal and moral construct?

"The choice before us is plain: Christ or chaos, conviction or compromise, discipline or disintegration.

I am rather tired of hearing about our rights... The time is come to hear about responsibilities ...

America's future depends upon her accepting and demonstrating God's government."

— Peter Marshall (1902-1949) Pastor and Chaplain of the United States Senate
