Keep the Electoral College: Abolish Progressivism! – The process for choosing the President and the Vice President is laid out in Article 2.1.2 of the Constitution for the United States of America:

“Each State shall appoint, in such Manner, as the Legislature thereof may direct, a Number of electors, equal to the whole Number of Senators and Representatives to which the State may be entitled in the Congress . . . “

The American system of government is not a Democracy (mob rule); it is a Republic!  Per Article 4.4 of the Constitution, the American people are guaranteed a republican form of government, one in which: the people are governed by freely elected representatives and whose political power is divided, limited, checked and balanced. Yet, to listen to the TV talking heads and Progressive politicians whine about how the popular vote getter in the 2016 presidential campaign did not end up also winning the Oval Office, you might be led to believe that American government was originally framed as a pure democracy and that the Electoral College system is flawed.

Nothing could be further from the truth!  For, our nation’s Constitution does not provide for the Chief Executive to be chosen based upon the popular vote. The mode for electing the President was one of the most hotly debated issues addressed by the Delegates attending the 1787 Philadelphia Convention where the Constitution was framed. Chief among their concerns, was the safety of the people; to that end, the idea of relying upon “electors” became the preferred mode due to that system’s inherent capacity for mitigating any opportunity for fraud, foreign intrigue, cabal and/or corruption. The notion of electing the President by popular vote (direct election) was rejected because of the “tumult and disorder” it would stand to invite.

In debating the merits of one system over the over, Founding Fathers Elbridge Gerry of MA and George Mason of VA explain, that danger of election by the people at large lies in the opportunity for uninformed people to be dangerously “misled by a few designing men…” Presidential candidates who would tell them whatever they wanted hear, maybe even promise them the moon, in exchange for their vote:

“A popular election in this case is radically vicious.  The ignorance of the people would put it in the power of some one set of men dispersed through the Union, and acting in concert, to delude them into any appointment.”  [Elbridge Gerry, MA – Madison Papers]

Nevertheless, the Electoral College has more than lived up to the Framers’ expectations.  It has proven itself to be: 1) reliably, the safest mode for electing the President; 2) capable of mitigating fraud, cabal, foreign intrigue, and corruption; 3) effective in protecting the interests of the less populous States by ensuring each State is considered equally in terms of its weight within the Legislative Branch.

Furthermore, unlike its challenger, the national popular vote, the Electoral College honors the Framers’ view of Federalism in the way it acknowledges: the important role held by the States, the vertical separation of powers inherent to our nation’s system of dual-footed government.  Equally important, the Electoral College acts as a protective barrier against the advancement of tyranny of the majority in support of the Constitution’s guarantee of a republican form of government…..

Thus, the clarion calls to abolish the Electoral College are ill placed and without merit. They emanate from the same Progressive mindset1 that convinced the American people to approve the17th Amendment (the popular election of U.S. Senators) by fabricating the lie that higher popular control of government made for good government. Now, more than a century after its ratification, we reap the bad fruit from progressivism’s deception.

The Electoral College is a bulwark against the Progressive agenda to turn America into a PURE democracy.

Throw off progressivism; but, keep the Electoral College!

“The Big Evil” – How very bad things are able to happen. The progressives’ mass-subjugation tactic for silencing people and destroying their will. – Most people who study propaganda techniques are familiar with “the big lie”. Its basic psychological premise is that people will generally not believe a small lie, but if a gigantic lie is repeated over and over, people will question their own capacity to discern things and end up believing it. It was first described by Adolph Hitler in his writings, and later refined and put to use on a large scale by Joseph Goebbels, the Nazi Minister of Propaganda.

The “Big Evil” is a variation on that tactic:

If a government or other institution commits a profoundly evil or immoral act with great fanfare or public knowledge, people would normally tend to react in horror. They would speak out and find ways to confront it.

But suppose a profoundly evil or immoral act was done methodically and with no unusual commotion –– as if it was simply a part of completely normal operations. Suppose everyone with any connection at all to it acts as if nothing were out of the ordinary. And anyone who has even the slightest negative reaction is severely treated as if he is a bad person, an “enemy” of the good, incompetent to judge such things, mentally unstable, or is even publicly admonished or punished in some way. That psychological tactic has a powerful effect on a community or a nation. It instills a fear among people to say anything. Instead, people get a sense that maybe the authorities are right and that their gut feelings were misplaced. After all, these are the people in trusted positions. Not long after that, the same organization was present, front and center, at the Democratic National Convention that nominated Bill Clinton and adopted a platform pretentiously labeled a “New Covenant” with the American people, one that obviously was in conflict on many points with what Christians had been venerating for centuries as the New Covenant between God and his people.

And so, before Donald Trump made his pointed jibe at the Al Smith dinner, a Wikileaks disclosure of emails between and among high-ranking Democrats, including Hillary Clinton’s campaign manager, calling for a “Catholic spring” that would effectively make the Catholic Church, the ecclesiastical auxiliary of the Democratic Party and the Democratic platform. That is radically anti-Catholic in a more subtle and more dangerous way than the older, more honest anti-Catholicism that warned openly …they do hate the Church

Many Catholics, both clergy and lay, have supported the Democratic Party’s devotion to the social welfare state. It is time to reexamine that alliance in the cold clear light of a deracinated party cut off from its Judaic and Christian roots. If thy voting hand offends thee cut it off. Meet the evangelicals who prophesied a Trump win – … “I was told I would not be given a revelation on who would win,” Joyner, a vocal Trump supporter, wrote Tuesday. “I was given a revelation on what we needed in our national leader, but that we would get the leader the nation wanted.”

While Joyner didn’t claim to know divinely who would win, others in his sphere and on his Facebook page did. A video, dated Oct. 14, shows Jorge Parrott, Morningstar’s missions director, prophesying directly to Trump that he would become president.

Whatever you think of Trump, give thanks that the Church’s enemies have been defeated – by Gavin Rice – Donald Trump is not the president that conservative Christian America wanted. However, with the defeat of candidates such as Cruz and Rubio, they were left with little choice. Nevertheless, Christian conservatives (like me) can still be thankful that Hillary Clinton was defeated.

Neither candidate was a model of integrity.. … However, it’s Clinton’s ideological stances that should alarm Christians: she is a strong supporter of the HHS mandate which would have required Catholic employers to provide contraception and abortion as a part of health programmes. …

If a Trump administration turns out to be really intolerable, it must be remembered that there is always the impeachment process. … The US system is well set up to prevent one branch of government from overreaching itself or compromising the Constitution.

Whatever happens over the course of the next presidency, Christians can at least rest easy knowing that the progressive Democrats who are deeply hostile to Christian values and the Gospel of Life are not in the White House, and cannot impinge upon their liberty to believe, teach, preach and practise for now. This is not so much prognostication as conjecture: that major events will occur as a purification and are not contingent and conditioned on a single election. But is the timing? What about those who have claimed that the Virgin Mary or Jesus or an angel spoke to them about specific candidates –– and offered dramatic prophecies about this election? his is just vicious stuff. But for pure pathos crossing into the absurd, we turn (as usual) to the college campus. Consider:

    *The University of Michigan offered its traumatized students coloring books and Play-Doh to calm them. (Are its students in college or kindergarten?)

    *The University of Kansas reminded its stressed-out kids that therapy dogs, a regular campus feature, were available.

    *Cornell University, an Ivy League school, held a campus-wide “cry-in,” with officials handing out tissues and hot chocolate.

    *Tufts University offered its devastated students arts and crafts sessions. (OK, not kindergarten — more like summer camp.)

    *At campuses from elite Yale to Connecticut to Iowa and beyond, professors canceled classes and/or exams — either because students asked or because instructors were too distraught to teach.

Anarchist-fueled violence and destruction can’t be tolerated. Nor should corporate (or anti-corporate) temper tantrums that blatantly violate free-speech rights.– Link to Website

Brownsburg priest who performs exorcisms says the number of people requesting them is on the rise – by Mike Pelton – … The priest says more people are asking for help and he attributes that to the growing number of people turning away from the faith.

“Faith in God will lead us in one direction and lack of faith will lead us in another, so there does seem to be a correlation with people who believe they are experiencing evil in their life at the same time where faith in God is less relevant,” said Lampert.

The priest says he gets around 20 calls or emails every week from people who believe they need an exorcism. Lampert says only about 10 percent of people who request an exorcism actually need one.

There is no quick fix with exorcism according to Lampert. Most exorcisms are less intense prayers to get rid of evil spirits. Lampert says he’s performed three involving demonic possession, like those you see in Hollywood movies.

The commission is interpreting a state law to ban churches from expressing their views on human sexuality if they would “directly or indirectly” make “persons of any particular…gender identity” feel “unwelcome” in conjunction with church services, events, and other religious activities. The speech ban could be used to gag churches from making any public comments—including from the pulpit—that could be viewed as unwelcome to persons who do not identify with their biological sex. Under a new state law, school districts can develop their own civics competency assessments, but they must include “the nature, purpose, structure, function and history of the United States government, the rights and responsibilities of citizens, and noteworthy government and civil leaders.” …

Sen. Birdsell said she was inspired to sponsor the civics testing bill by the kind of videos popular on late-night TV shows that show how ignorant many Americans are about history and government. The videos are meant to be funny but Birdsell called them “heart-wrenching.”

Six people later vouched to me that, during her exorcisms, they heard her speaking multiple languages, including Latin, completely unfamiliar to her outside of her trances. So my colleagues and I pored over the Blind Sheikh’s many writings. And what we found was alarming: whenever he quoted the Koran or other sources of Islamic scripture, he quoted them accurately.

Now, you might be able to argue that he took scripture out of context or gave an incomplete account of it. In my subsequent years of studying Islam, I’ve learned that this is not a particularly persuasive argument. But even if one concedes for the purposes of discussion that it’s a colorable claim, the inconvenient fact remains: Abdel Rahman was not lying about Islam.

When he said the scriptures command that Muslims strike terror into the hearts of Islam’s enemies, the scriptures backed him up.

When he said Allah enjoined all Muslims to wage jihad until Islamic law was established throughout the world, the scriptures backed him up.

Last week, America lost Judge Antonin Scalia from our highest court and people are afraid of who might take his place.  Americans should be afraid if they are going to roll continuously over and play dead to judicial tyranny the way that they have over the last 100 years. Some are saying:

America, there is no liberal side of the law!  There is mercy to the repentant (Isaiah 66:2).  Outside of that, the Law merely condemns crime; it is not turned to justify crime.  Furthermore, we only have one Constitution! …

he Supreme Court is not above the law. The only way their lawlessness abounds is if the people will let them do so. They do not have any authority whatsoever to act outside of the enumerated powers of the Constitution, Period.

They swore before God and man, with their hands upon the Bible, to uphold the Constitution “against all enemies both foreign and domestic,” not to tear it down.

Judges are not above the Laws of our Constitutional Republic (Article 4 Section 4 of The United States Constitution).  They cannot decide against written Constitutional Law.  If they are allowed to get away with such things, it shows you who is corrupt (Romans 7:12), and that their rulings are not law (Deuteronomy 5:1-22).

The answer to America’s judicial tyranny is to deal with the judges! Judges are appointed to serve during good behavior (It is not good behavior to transgress moral law), and need to be removed for bad behavior (Article 3, Section 1; Article 1, Section 3; Article 2 Section 4 The United States Constitution; Psalm 2). – Website

“Why wasn’t that church absolutely packed with nonbelievers,” Scalia asked, “seeking to determine if there might be something to this?”

The miraculous events that Justice Scalia is referring to are simply unprecedented. …

 The priest, Father Daniel Hamilton, reported  he saw the wounds of Christ known as “Stigmata”  on Bruse’s wrists and a statue in Bruse’s room produced  blood.  After his eye witness account  he told the press :  Of course I doubted it in the beginning … And then… I saw some of this stuff he’d been talking about. It’s true. That’s all I can tell you. It’s true. It’s true.”

According to parish officials and church parishioners, many times during, before, or after a church service, hundreds in attendance saw the church’s statue of the Virgin Mary cry. Other statues on the parish grounds also wept as well. After Fr. Bruse celebrated Mass at a nearby church, water reportedly began dripping from the church’s wooden statue of the Virgin Mary as well. NH Schools Changing Values in Students Through Competencies – Girard at Large – Outcome Based Education (OBE) was all the fad in the 90’s until parents realized that their kids were not learning the academics but instead they saw a gradual shift from an academic based program to a system that attempted to change the values, attitudes and beliefs in children.  After that failed experiment on our children, you’d think those in the education establishment would  have learned.  Parents want their kids to be educated, not indoctrinated.

Fast forward to the Federal redesign in public education, and you can see that their redesign includes Competency Based Education. (CBE)  What’s the difference between OBE and CBE?  Not much.

Many people in the U.S. like the idea of socialism. – By Greg Lightcap –  Every election I see more and more support for socialism in the U.S. I do understand why so many people like the idea of socialism. Socialism makes us feel safe and secure, it’s like having your parents back in the picture to take care of you the way they did when you were a child. I don’t think anyone consciously acknowledges it that way, they just know it feels nice and secure.

Freedom on the other hand is scary and uncertain, just like the first time you found yourself on your own and your parent weren’t there to take care of your needs. Freedom is dangerous, it requires you to think and work hard, it brings the consequences of your mistakes crashing down upon you. Freedom is hard and most today lack the strength and courage to accept true freedom.

When we were free, we were serious, there was no room for foolishness and nonsense, we had to be responsible. When we were free we cared about and were concerned for our neighbors because they didn’t have anyone else to help them. We looked people in the eye and we meant what we said, our words meant something and we knew that so we were careful with them. When we were free we took raising our children seriously, because if we didn’t teach them well they wouldn’t survive.

When we were free and we thanked God for our meal we meant it, we were really thankful. We as a nation are no longer free, and we as a nation are no longer any of these things. I don’t blame politicians, they only gave us what we asked for. They gave us what they must give a foolish, irresponsible, spoiled, ungrateful, immoral, Godless society…. Rules….

Our freedom was taken away because we have proven as a society unfit to be free. If you want to catch a fish in a lake to eat you need permission. If you want to drive a car you need permission. If you want to get married you need permission. If you want to own a dog you need permission. If you want to build a shed on your own land you need permission. If you want to travel out of your country you need permission. If you want to carry a gun you need permission. You are not free and many of you like it that way.
